The Skid Row Neighborhood Council Subdivision Election will determine whether Skid Row should have its own neighborhood council separate from the rest of Downtown LA. The election is open to all stakeholders within the existing boundaries of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council and the Historic Cultural Neighborhood Council (which encompasses the Arts District and Chinatown ). A “stakeholder” is defined as any individual who lives, works or owns real property in the neighborhood, and also those participate in a community organization such as educational, nonprofit and religious organizations.The proposed boundaries of the Skid Row Neighborhood Council run from Main Street East to Alameda Street, and from 7th Street North to 3rd Street.
